Success Story - Bluegrass Farms
Large Industrial Farm has Cameras Installed Across Vast Campus
Bluegrass Farms of Ohio has been an innovator in the non-GMO
agricultural industry for nearly 4 decades. They are crazy about developing,
testing, and documenting the purest non-GMO grains. That is where surveillance
cameras come in. Problem:
Bluegrass
Farms’ strict policy of product purity means they need a camera system that is
reliable, easily accessible, and records exceptionally high-quality video. A lack of security cameras can compromise grain
purity, encourage employee complacency, and reduce employee accountability.
Moreover; trucks, trains, and large farm equipment means safety and liability
concerns best solved by strategically placed security cameras. Solution:
A
Security Cameras of Columbus salesperson met with Bluegrass management on site
to discuss potential solutions. Together they decided that a Uniview IP camera
system would be the best solution for the job. We offer 4mp, 5mp, and 4K
Uniview IP cameras for installation. The
salesperson worked with Bluegrass management to decide the appropriate camera
to fit their budget and need. Once the official proposal was complete and
accepted, a date was scheduled for the installation.
Our installation crew arrived at Bluegrass Farms on time and
began work. Work had to be done in areas where grain purity could be
compromised, so our crew worked together with Bluegrass staff to make sure all
cleanliness procedures were maintained. Ubiquiti Nano-beam wireless radio
systems (pictured below) were installed throughout the property to send camera data back to a
central location on the farm.
Four large Ultra-HD 4k monitors (pictured below) were installed
in the operations office so that farm administration could monitor all three
campus’ at once. This “security headquarters” means the operations manager can
be aware of anything happening anywhere on the farm. He can always know where
key employees and farm equipment are at, and efficiently manage the operation.
